These Full-Length Manuscripts are COMPLETE

Agents and Publishers: Thanks for stopping by and giving me a chance to pitch you! I have one independently-published nonfiction book (see it here on Amazon), another one in the wings, and two fictions (one adult, one YA). I am a passionate, prolific writer looking for the right agent with whom to partner to turbo-charge my proven commercial writing career. Thank you for your kind consideration!  You can reach me at sustainablepattie@comcast.netSee my 5-year-old blog, FoodShed Planet, here.  I also think you'll enjoy my guest-blogger post on Better World Books' blog here.

Food for My Daughters (Adult Nonfiction/98,000 words, published)

Food for My Daughters: what one mom decided to do when the towers fell (and what you can do, too) shares thought-provoking stories about sustainability, resiliency, and life; valuable tips for taking positive action in an uncertain world; and even versatile recipes (a "Baker's Dozen," ever so appropriately) for using the new abundance growing outside your kitchen door or in your community garden plot. See it here on AmazonHere is its website.

Tribbles, Twain and Too Many Bodies in the Bucket (Adult Memoir/30,000 words/complete)

Tribbles, Twain and Too Many Bodies in the Bucket is a funny, frenetic and fairly philosophical true story, filled with belly laughs and tears, about what happened after I found a long-lost Life List. I love this manuscript, and if you like the writing style in my already-published book, you will love it, too (and this one is much, much funnier).  (My hubby finally gets his big, starring role!)

Life Sentences (Adult Fiction/78,000 words/complete)

Mommy Lit meets the Mafia, and that’s the least of this family’s problems! Five days, three points of view and one central tragedy add up to a family that’s whacked. Through a fast-moving, highly visual plot filled with humor and poignancy, Life Sentences appeals to suburban men trapped in jobs they hate for reasons they barely remember; women with dreams they hardly recognize anymore; and anyone who grew up with a distorted sense of “normal.”  I have a really unique publishing/marketing idea about this project (honestly--something that has never been done before) that I'd love to discuss with you.

Spokesgirl (Young Adult Fiction/40,000 words/complete)

Spokesgirl is about an unlikely hero--a smart, sassy, 16-year-old one-legged cancer survivor who learns to ride a unicycle (yes, it's possible) and puts a new spin on her life and the lives of those around her. In the process, she exposes the hidden handicaps in everyday relationships and the rewards of facing the fear of loss, and the fear of truly living, head on. Packed with colorful characters, an edgy voice and a fast-moving plot, Spokesgirl will grip teenage girls with its universal themes of love, friendship and the power of believing in yourself. See the first three chapters here.  (Let's just put it his way--my younger daughter said to me after reading this, "Mom, forget non-fiction.  You need to keep writing books like this!"
